The Colorado Christian University held their Third Annual Early Bird Rail Jam this weekend, bringing in truckloads and truckloads of snow and rails from Winter Park to give front range shredders the opportunity to show off their skills and win some prizes. Snowboarders reigned supreme at this event, making up the majority of the competitors and absolutely threw down on the three features set up. Hour+ long jam sessions gave each competitor the opportunity to attempt every trick in their repertoire, while the crowd could switch between watching the competition and buying product from the sample sale, catching gear in the swag toss, or rocking out to the DJ. Finals combined skiers and snowboarders for one last jam session, where both disciplines stepped up the level of difficulty, I lost count how many tried to 450-on to the down rail or down-flat bar. The event lasted well past 9pm and the organizers even allowed competitors to session the feature for another 20 minutes after finals. Thanks for a great event CCU!
