When did you started skiing?
AI was 4, at Mt-Ste-Anne with my family.

Is your brother Antoine a huge influence?
For sure, he influenced and still influence me. I really like skiing with Antoine and he’s the one that introduce me to freeskiing.

How did your X-Games victory in 2005 helped you out?
Tons of visibility! Good recognition. I mean, after that I got bigger support from my sponsors and it allowed me to achieve and live what I wanted to.

Can you explain the processing of a new trick?
Freeskiing is still young and there is still room to grow. My way of doing it is through visualization of new ways of grabbing or positioning in the air.

Best comp you did?
Burlington’s Rail jam.

Park, Rails or halfpipe?
It depends, but bottom line, I just like skiing.

How do you react when people are considering you as one of the best skier in the world?
I’ve work hard to be where I am, so I’m pretty stoked to see people appreciating what I’m doing.

What’s the best thing about been a pro?
Traveling, great adventures meet tons of people, skiing all over the world all year long and spend time with your friends doing what you love.

Where do you see freeskiing in 5 years from now?
Its level will increase; style will get more important and jumps are going to get bigger. Urbain will also get crazier!

Do you foresee your younger brother Vincent becoming one of the best?
Vincent is growing up in a family where skiing is a true passion. He’s great, not afraid and talented. His attitude and entourage are pretty good so I’m pretty confident about his chance.

Win as many comps as possible, have fun and film a great segment with PoorBoyz.
